The options for planning increase as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players the ability to design the perfect mission for each challenge.
Gear Slot
In the beginning of the game, players will find their gear slots quickly become full, resulting in the common "Your Gear Slots are Full" message which prevents Max from picking new equipment until old items are removed or space is found. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which give players more inventory space in exchange for completing challenge missions. Since many of these challenges could be missed and are scattered around the globe, it could take a while to reach the maximum number inventory slots in the game.
Each player has up to five different types of gear in their five Gear Slots. They must be selected from the Gear Selection menu prior to the break-in. Each individual gear item (except the Pistol) will take up one Gear Slot while a set of similar items (like a group of Grenades that are of the same type) only uses one Gear Slot.
Agency Pickups
As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups on the map. These locations let you store an item that does not fit in your slot for gear or weapon, and retrieve them later.
These pickups are particularly useful if you need to go through a frisk later in the course of your mission, or if you are carrying a weapon that would otherwise cause suspicion. But, you are only able to conceal one item per game at a location that is a pickup for the agency.
This DLC also includes new asset protection and security contracts to the agency. To begin these missions, simply talk to the receptionist at the agency and purchase armor and snacks. Then, walk to the stated mission marker and spot a group when you arrive.
